Vista Mar – Concórdia

The apartment was just amazing ,we had 6 adults staying in the apartment and it was so spacious ,3 large bedrooms ,2 with en-suites and another bathroom located right next to the 3rd bedroom,location was great ,with a lovely sea view from the balcony and close to restaurants and a large supermarket. The apartment had everything we needed. including a washing machine and tumble dryer. My son made use of the gym and we enjoyed using the pool. Jordão and Claudia were easy to contact and responded immediately, gave us clear instructions for checking in and checking out . We used the Bolt app to get taxis to travel around which we found excellent and reasonably priced. There is a parking garage under the apartments where you can park a car if you choose to do a rental car . although we didn’t have a car ,we found walking through the parking garage a great way to avoid the steep hill. we will definitely hire the apartment again when visiting the beautiful maderia island . Fijne grote ruimte in een buiten wijk van Funchal. 3 badkamers en 3 slaapkamers. Zwembad en jacuzzi was een tikkie koud. De fitness ruimte is handig, maar wat verouderd. Met de Bolt is het centrum binnen 10 min bereilbaar. De host was daar bij aankomst om ons te ontvangen.

The apartment was quite roomy and comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to prepare home cooked meals quite easily. Basic introduction/ orientation was good but we had to find the gym ourselves and finally another resident explained the code to unlock it. We were a bit disappointed that the “hot tub” we were expecting was not heated and quite cold, so we didn’t use that or the pool as we had hoped. We did enjoy the beach nearby although not an easy walk for one of our members. Overall to enjoy the neighbourhood and beach you should be reasonably fit or have a vehicle ( or both). Funchal is about a 1 hour walk away or a 30 minute bus ride and there is a path mostly along the shore. Again, we were all quite comfortable in the roomy apartment and enjoyed sea and mountain views. Jordão gave us our privacy but was available if we needed. The island itself with its glorious mountain peaks is quite stunning.

Great host, responded quickly to all queries both before and during stay. Met us in evening even with a late flight and explained everything. Great location on edge of Funchal. Would stay again.

l'appartement est très fonctionnel, grand, entièrement équipé. il dispose d'une place de parking en sous-sol très pratique. La salle de gym dispose de tapis de course et vélos elliptiques. nous avons profité des transats près de la piscine, la piscine n'étant pas chauffée. Nous avons fait nos courses à pied au Continente qui est à 5mn, nous avons profité du bord de mer (promenade et restaurant sur la plage) à 10mn à pied. Pour visiter Funchal nous avons pris le bus à 2mn à pied de l'appartement. La situation de l'appartement est idéale pour visiter l'île. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La communication avec les propriétaires était très facile.
